Patti Flather

Patti Flather, co-founder and past Artistic Director of Gwaandak Theatre, is dedicated to nurturing and sharing Indigenous and northern voices. She is a dramaturg, director and award-winning playwright. Her play Paradise, a Gwaandak premiere, was published with Playwrights Canada Press and toured nationally. She was a co-creator of Gwaandak’s devised play Map of the Land, Map of the Stars, which toured the Yukon, B.C. and Ontario. She is honoured to be part of Ndoo Tr’eedyaa Gogwaandak, promoting appreciation of Vuntut Gwitchin language, culture and storytellers and language champions. She’s working on a new play Treaties with husband Leonard Linklater. Her book of short stories is due for publication in 2021. She is a member of Playwrights Guild of Canada, Literary Managers & Dramaturgs of the Americas and The Writers Union of Canada.
